Type recognition test from Szentgyörgy hill
Date: October 5, 2010
An old tradition of winetest.eu, that we try to recognize the variety, the wine growing region, the vintage of tested wines. Our hit probability is around 25-30%, it means, someone from the team could recognize 1 wine from 3-4 tested items.

Our today game (test) includs white wines from the Lakeside Balaton, Szentgyörgy hegy (St. George Hill). As a start, the Horváth Cellar Sauvignon Blanc 2009. Fresh, green scent, white colour. Vegetal, reductive character - to summer salads.

Endre Szászi Szigligeti Olaszrizling 2008 is one of our favorite white wines. Tramway yellow, creamy-sweetish scent. Minerality and concentration. A learning wine about the Balaton.

Boksay Pinor Gris 2008 is also a sticky wine with some acacia scent. Sprawling vegetation, pepper and green tea ending.

At last but not least, the Fischer Cellar Pinot Blanc 2006. We recommend it for committed drinkers only: lean and acrid, a goosberry alterego. Propbably old.
