Montenegro is not the country of hand-made, sophisticated wines, but the leading Plantaze cellar provide very good price-value rating wines. Our first impression was the 2007 Plantaze Merlot. Creamy scent, tannin-focused character, there is something wild west (wild east) element.

The 2007 Plantaze Cabernet is a real best buy wine: 74 points for 3 euros. Cognac scent, black tea. Not a ripe taste, but comming chocolate. Black and sensual, like afro-american tits

The 2007 Vranac Pro Corde (the montenegroans' mania that their wines are perfect for heart care; they probably did not read about French paradoxon: all the wines are perfect for heart care).All in all: the local Vranac is quiet good. Matt, breadskin scent. Well-balanced wine, round tannins, the new manifestation of plum.

Today the 2005 Vranac barrique was rated on the top: 80 points for 15€. Oily asphalt (crna vina = black wine), baroque cathedral scent. Supple, spicy world, for pope elections.

At last but not least, the top wine of the cellar, Plantaze Vranac Reserve 2002 arrived. Cheese scent, roustic and a bit old character. More of us wrote about the strong alcohol dominancy of it - we like alcohol but not in this amount.
