Prahova Valley
Date: June 4, 2010
The sunny wine region Dealu Mare lays on the same meridian like Tuscany and Bordeaux. At this time we studied the region's leading winery, the Prahova Wine Cellar.

The magnificant Prahova Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Special Reserve 2002 has excellent dried grape scent. A blueberry taste, sweetish. A well-balanced concept, forest bacchanalia somewhere in Eastern-Europe.

The Prahova Valley Feteasca Negra Special Reserve 2003 seemed to be a little bit old. Rusty, creamy and not convincing. The next day of bacchalia.

At last but not least: Byzantium 2005 Fruity and dark. A liqueur character, refined and herbal. A baroque (byzantine?) portrait.
