My everyday wine: Vipava Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Date: October 19, 2011
The wine comes from terraced vineyards in Slovene Primorska, Slovenia. It was harvested in september, and matured in Slavonian oak barrels, according to the wine-makers website.
Today wine is: Vipava Ventus Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Clear medium garnet color. The nose is clean, medium intensive and developing, with aromas of earth, red fruit jam and vanilla from the wood. The wine is dry (suho) showing medium acidity, low medium, but soft tannins, and low medium alcohol. The body is light medium, with flavors of chocolate and roasted coffee, accompanied by cooked red fruits in the medium long aftertaste. All in all, it is an inexpensive, good wine, ready to drink.
