My everyday wine: Bussay Olaszrizling 2007
Date: October 3, 2011
It comes from one of the "forgotten" wine regions in Hungary, The Zala was not a well-known region in the last 50 years, though some wineries really showed potential in the last years. The wine has received "Top Wine" category at the Hungarian Pannon Bormustra in 2008.

Today's wine is:

Bussay Olaszrizling 2007

The wine is clear, with a middle intensive lemon color. The nose is medium intensive and developing, with a lot of flowers (camille) and white fruits (pears). The palate is starting dry with middle plus alcohol and medium acidity. The wine is showing a medium body with characters of cinnamon, figs and white chocolate. Medium, comfortable finish. All in all a good wine, medium priced, ready to drink but could age.
