My everyday wine: Blum Kékfrankos 2008
Date: October 2, 2011
I will start a new series at the website: My everyday wine. I will write about the wine I'm currently drinking. It is a bit different from our usual tests, as the wine will be evaluated by myself only (so not a tasting panel) using the WSET Systematic Approach to Wine. Norbert
Today's wine is:

Blum Villányi Kékfrankos 2008

The wine is clear, showing middle intensive ruby color. The nose is middle intensive with hints of sweet spices of vanilla and cinnamon and sweet cherries behind. The palate starts with lower middle class acidity, soft and middle intensive tannins and middle alcohol feeling. The middle-sized body shows aromas of red berries and sweet spices, mainly vanilla from the wood. The finish is accomponied by the soft tannins, and not too long. All in all a good wine, ready to drink.
